Two Villas on Half Moon Bay

A whole stretch of beach, and nobody else on it.

Most wedding venues give you a lawn for an afternoon. Here you get the houses — every suite, every terrace, the pool and the sand in front — for as many nights as you stay, with no other guests and no shared spaces.

Casa Milah is the modern one: eight suites, an infinity pool at the edge of the beach and a rooftop made for sunset ceremonies. Villa Bellamar is the big one: thirteen suites around a 1,500 sq ft L-shaped pool, gardens that run down to the water, a rooftop jacuzzi and room for 200 at a reception. Between them is a two-minute walk along the same quiet road.

“Some vacations give you a room. Villa Bellamar gives you a house.”

What a wedding at the villas costs

The villa rate covers the houses, the chef and the staff for every night you stay. On top of that come a flat event fee and a fee for guests who join for the day but don’t sleep at the villas — so a wedding with most guests staying on site keeps the extras small.

Catering beyond the villa chef, the bar, flowers, lighting, music, photography, hair and make-up and a wedding coordinator are quoted and paid directly to the vendors. All wedding details are coordinated with the villa manager once the reservation is confirmed.

Fees from the property’s 2026–27 conditions; vendor prices are approximate and can change.

Corporate, Yoga & Wellness Retreats

A retreat venue that feels like a holiday.

Offsites work better when nobody has to find the meeting room, the lunch or the bus. At the villas the chef feeds the group three times a day, the team keeps the house running, and the work happens on a rooftop or in the shade of the pool pavilion.

For company retreats, Villa Bellamar has an air-conditioned multipurpose room, a media room with a 60-inch screen, Wi-Fi throughout and gardens for breakout groups; Casa Milah adds a second house for leadership sessions or overflow. For yoga and wellness retreats, both rooftops, the lawns and the beach become open-air shalas, and the villas’ own wellness program brings the teachers and healers to you.

From sunrise breakfasts on the terrace to celebratory dinners under the stars, tell him the occasion and the kitchen is yours. Groceries and drinks are bought for you and billed at cost.

Villa Bellamar from above: rooftop, pool and palms down to the bay

Villa Bellamar was designed for generous living. Its thirteen suites open onto shared spaces that feel like a private resort: the 1,500 sq ft L-shaped pool with a wet bar and a shaded pavilion strung with hammocks, a panoramic rooftop with a jacuzzi, and an open-plan living and dining room where the chef’s meals land on a table long enough for everyone.

For rainy afternoons and working mornings there is an air-conditioned multipurpose room, a media room with a 60-inch screen and a games room with table tennis, air hockey and foosball. Outside: kayaks, pool volleyball, loungers under the palms, a charcoal grill and a fire pit, parking and a night guard.

Akumal & Half Moon Bay

The place of turtles, between Tulum and Playa.

Akumal sits at the quiet heart of the Riviera Maya — 20 minutes north of Tulum, 30 minutes south of Playa del Carmen, and a world away from the crowds of either. Its name means “place of turtles” in Maya.

A reef-protected bay

A coral reef shelters Half Moon Bay, so the water in front of the villas stays calm and clear — sunrise swims, kayaks and paddleboards straight from the sand.

Sea turtles

Green turtles graze the seagrass in Akumal Bay, one of the few places in Mexico where you can snorkel alongside them in their natural habitat.

Yal-Ku lagoon

200 metres from the villas, a lagoon where fresh water meets the sea: shallow, sheltered snorkeling among fish and sculptures, perfect for kids.

Cenotes

The jungle behind Akumal is full of freshwater cenotes and caves — swim, dive, or join a yoga and meditation session in one.

Maya ruins

The clifftop walls of Tulum are 20 minutes away and Cobá, with the tallest pyramid on the peninsula, an easy day trip.

The coast by boat

Yacht days, diving the Mesoamerican reef, Cozumel across the channel and Sian Ka’an’s lagoons to the south.

Good to Know

Questions, answered.

Either. Casa Milah (8 suites, up to 16 guests) and Villa Bellamar (13 suites, up to 52 guests) are rented separately, and because they stand about 130 metres apart on the same road in Half Moon Bay, many wedding groups book both — up to 68 guests staying on site, with the ceremony and reception hosted at one of the two houses.

Villa Bellamar hosts events for up to 200 guests across its pool terrace, gardens, beach and rooftop. Casa Milah is ideal for intimate weddings of up to 50 guests, on the beach or on its rooftop terrace. Guests who are not staying at the villas count as external attendees.

On top of the nightly rate there is an event fee of US$500, plus an external-attendee fee of US$500 for up to 25 guests who are not staying, US$1,000 for 26–50 and US$1,500 for 51–100. Catering, bar, décor, music and a wedding coordinator are quoted separately by the vendors you choose.

The villa's private chef is included in the rate and cooks every meal of your stay. For a small wedding of around 40 guests the chef can cook the wedding dinner too, with US$25 per additional external guest. For larger receptions the property's specialised wedding chef and team provide a tailored menu with open bar and service staff, from about US$3,000, and for 150 guests or more they coordinate with trusted catering partners.

Yes. You can bring your own planner, florist, photographer and entertainment; every external vendor is notified to and approved by the property in advance. The villa manager can also recommend a trusted local vendor network and certified wedding coordinators for civil, religious, symbolic, Jewish, Hindu or Mayan ceremonies.

Yes, with a civil ceremony performed by a Mexican judge and the paperwork that goes with it. Many couples prefer a symbolic ceremony at the villa and sign the legal papers at home. Your planner will walk you through the documents and timing.

Three nights in mid and low season, and five nights in high season and over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. For a wedding we recommend four to five nights so your group can arrive, celebrate and leave relaxed.

Half Moon Bay is a quiet residential community and its quiet hours begin at 10 pm, so amplified music moves indoors or ends at that time. Plan the ceremony for sunset and the party for the early evening and it fits naturally.

Exclusive use of the villa, a private chef for breakfast, lunch and dinner, daily housekeeping (half day on Sundays), a gardener and daily pool care, concierge service, a villa manager, night security in a gated community, beach towels, kayaks and linens. Groceries and drinks are paid at cost; a food deposit and a US$1,500 refundable security deposit are due in cash on arrival, and 25% local taxes are added to the rates.

Both are. Villa Bellamar has an air-conditioned multipurpose room, a media room with a 60-inch screen and space for breakout groups in its gardens and rooftop; Casa Milah's rooftop and lawn are natural yoga decks. The villas' wellness program adds yoga, cacao and sound healing, temazcal, cenote and lagoon experiences and massage at the house.

Tulum International Airport is about 40 minutes away and Cancún International Airport about 1 hour 40 minutes. Tulum town is 20 minutes south and Playa del Carmen 30 minutes north.

Yes. Half Moon Bay is protected by a coral reef, so the water in front of the villas is calm and clear — ideal for snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding — and Yal-Ku lagoon is 200 metres away. The beach has natural limestone and pebbles in places, and seasonal sargassum can arrive with warmer currents.

Send your dates, the villa or villas you want and the number of staying and event guests. Rocío at Villa Experience confirms availability with the property, sends a quote with the event fees, and a signed rental agreement and deposit secure the dates. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year bookings are non-refundable.
